Florida All-State High School Jazz Band

The Florida All-State High School Jazz Band is a prestigious ensemble selected through competitive auditions, organized by the Florida Music Education Association (FMEA) and Florida Bandmasters Association (FBA). This competitive ensemble showcases top student musicians from across the state and performs at the FMEA Professional Development Conference in January. The selection process involves district and state-level auditions, and the final band works with guest conductors and performs challenging jazz literature.
Being selected for All-State band is a very big deal, representing a high honor and achievement for high school musicians. It signifies being among the top students in the state and offers a valuable opportunity to perform challenging music with other talented musicians and guest conductors.
